Our Race
Join us on Sunday, May 24, 2026, for the 5th Annual Memorial 5K Run/Walk.
Our event features a brief veteran led ceremony of remembrance prior to the running of our unique 5K race. The racecourse, through the Lake Barrington Shores community, has been certified by U.S. Track and Field and is professionally chip timed.
All race participants receive a technical shirt and a beautiful finisher medal as part of their registration.
Our Foundation
The Memorial 5K Foundation is a registered 501(c)19 nonprofit organization that produces the 5K race which financially assists the work of the Veterans of Lake Barrington Shores and other local and national charities.
Volunteers with our Foundation can participate in the 5K race planning process, send care packages to servicemembers overseas, and attend events like Wreaths Across America.
